Domestic auto prices expand in March

Domestic automobile prices rose this March, according to the price monitoring center under the National Development and Reform Commission.

Data from the center indicated that prices on imported vehicles went down slightly.

Average prices for domestic vehicles in March was up 0.15 percent from February this year, but down 2.33 percent year on year.

In March, prices for passenger vehicles went up 0.27 percent compared with February but were down 2.55 percent year on year. Specifically, prices of cars and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) grew 0.43 and 0.38 percent respectively compared with February this year and prices on minicars slipped 0.24 percent month on month.
