An Air China plane lands in Taipei after more than 4 hours of
nonstop flight from Beijing January 29, 2005. Commercial jetliners from Chinese
mainland and Taiwan took off on Saturday for the first non-stop cross-Strait
flights in 56 years, raising hopes for permanent air links and better ties.
