Passengers from the HU7952 flight of the Chinese mainland-based Hainan Airlines, which took off from Taipei, arrive safely last night at the Capital International Airport in Beijing, putting an end to the charter flight service across the Taiwan Straits for this year's Lunar New Year holidays. A total of 10,773 Taiwan business people and their families enjoyed the service for the first time in 56 years. Twelve airlines from the mainland and Taiwan Province offered 48 non-stop round-trip flights for the service. [newsphoto]
