Chinese president concludes visit to Laos

VIENTIANE -- Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the
Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chinese president, left here for India on
Monday afternoon after he concluded his two-day state visit to the Laos.
During his stay in the Lao capital, Hu met with Lao leaders and they
agreed to make concerted efforts continuously to push forward the development of
relations between the two parties and the two countries.
The two sides
also signed a number of documents to boost bilateral cooperation in the fields
of economy and technology, health, power and E-government. Hu, invited
by Choummaly Sayasone, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao
People's Revolutionary Party and Lao president, arrived in Vientiane on Sunday
from Vietnam.
The Chinese president attended the 14th Asia-Pacific
Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting on November 17-19 in Hanoi
after paying a two-day state visit to Vietnam.
The Laos is the second
leg of Hu's four-nation tour, which will also take him to India and
Pakistan.
