| Fengdu, also called the "City of Ghosts" on the Mingshan Hill, is
far 170 km from the east of Chongqing, on the north bank of the Yangtze
River with a history of 1,900 years. The Three Gorges Project has forced
the whole county of Fengdu to completely move on a higher place on the
opposite bank. Although part of the Mingshan Hill is submerged by the
rising water, it remains a beautiful scenery spot that attracts 3,000
people each day from April to October. The local government tried hard to
develop economy through the tourism. Besides the diversified sculptures
and temples of Buddhism or Taoism there. the photographer enjoyed very
much the roofs and decorations on those buildings. The following pictures
taken on April 21, 2007 show some unique buildings on the hill.
