Value of cultural heritages

About 1.3 million rural and urban residents in 12 counties in the Chongqing Municipality and Hubei Province will make way for the gigantic Three Gorges project, and dozens of natural and cultural heritage sites and tourist attractions will be submerged forever. Fengdu, in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, moved some old building into a new site to keep those valuable buildings. The following pictures taken on April 21, 2007 show that workers rebuild ancient houses with original materials from the old buildings on a hill overlooking the Yangtze River.
