A junior high school boy in Dalian, Liaoning, became fed up with schoolwork and his grades plummeted because he didn't fancy the look of his female teacher.

The boy used to have a good academic record at school, his mother said, but lost interest in his studies at the start of this semester.

She talked with him to find out the reason for the change and was reportedly amused to discover that he was not interested in class because the teacher was unattractive and dressed in an unfashionable way.
