To promote the lost-and-found corner in his store, a businessman in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, pays people for what they find but charges nothing if they retrieve something they've lost.

Jiang Aiguo, who owns an eyebrow-tattooing store, set up a lost-and-found corner in June. To encourage people to submit items they had found, Jiang promised to pay for them. So far Jiang has spent about 1,000 yuan ($133) on buying lost items. More than 100 items have been returned to their owners free of charge.

Items that have not been claimed are sent to the police office. Some grateful people want to give Jiang money in return but he always refuses.
