A centenarian in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, was recently granted a wedding certificate, making him the oldest newlywed in the province.

The 106-year-old man, surnamed Pan, lost his wife more than 20 years ago. He had lived a lonely life until eight years ago, when his adult children paid an 81-year-old woman to look after him. The couple grew close and decided to spend the rest of their lives together. Pan said a healthy lifestyle and happy marriage would allow him to live to be 120.
