A pied magpie moved into a drug store in Dalian, Liaoning Province, a month ago and shows no intention of leaving.

"The bird stole into the shop and ate some dog food we prepared for our pet," the shop owner, surnamed Wang, said. "We thought it might leave the shop after it was full but to our amusement it has stayed with us ever since."

"It is one of the funniest things that has ever happened to me. I will not drive it away because my neighbors like it so much they visit our shop just to see it."

Pied magpies are considered lucky in China and on Chinese Valentine's Day, Niulang is said to meet his wife Zhinu on a bridge of pied magpies.
