A drunk foreigner decided to make do with a conveyor belt at the Beijing Capital International Airport on Wednesday, sleeping on the unmoving belt like a log.

"He smelled like a distillery when we called for help," said a police officer.

"We rushed him to an emergency aid center for a check-up and treatment."

The officer said the Russian had been stopped from boarding a flight earlier that day for drinking too much. He polished off another bottle of vodka and fell asleep on his makeshift bed.

"We reproached him for disturbing the public order and released him after he sobered up," said the police.
