A villager in Zhejiang Province has been getting his home warmed by two wall tiles for the past decade.

The heat given out by the tiles is enough to bake pancakes. The man, surnamed Qi, chanced upon the heating slabs in his dining room - kept warmer than the other areas. He paid no attention to the tiles as they had no impact on his electricity bill. Qi found the tiles too hot to touch this past summer, while their temperature dropped with the onset of winter. He has ruled out the possibility of a short circuit in wires.
