Bliss to the girls(urbanatomy.com)

The award for girliest bar in Shanghai goes to...well clearly Glamour Bar, but Bliss could certainly be its up-and-coming little sister. The whole package is cute, cheeky and chic-we liked the kitsch popcorn machine, red Perspex lamps and Mario Brothers dolls displayed reverently in the wine cabinet. And loved the huge spread of imported fashion magazines. The bar's signature Bliss Woman cocktail (RMB 55) is delicious, appropriately pink and sugary, and comes complete with a ChupaChup lollipop. We were impressed by the never-ending length of the cocktail menu, but those we sampled were disappointingly low on kick and we had to tut-tut at the Mojitos made with Sprite. Length is isn't everything after all. But hey, if you like giggling over innuendo-laden snippets like that to gal pals while sipping Cosmopolitans, this is the place to go. Bliss |
