Dalai Lama's US visit
Comments on "Don't meet Dalai Lama, Bush urged." (China Daily, October 17)
It is very sad that a nation like the USA would engage in such a childish stunt like this without knowing the history of China and Tibet. What this incident shows the most is the arrogance and ignorance of the American politicians and their either declare or covert intents and scheming.
It looks extremely suspicious that things are not what it seems and there is a multitude of hidden intentions and designs. China MUST be very careful so to see through this deceipt and camourflage and tread with extreme caution. The trap is set and it is obvious that the USA and the EU (Germany) are in collusion in this hideous act.
Last but not least one wonder what has the Dalai Lama achieved other than making himself a pawn of the pro western political powers. It is really doubtful if he knows what is he doing. This is not how a true Buddhist acts, how hippocritical.

US action is consistent with its foreign policy, double-talk, these little tactics are an annoyance.

Dave Rensberger says: "As China becomes more integrated into the world economy, I suspect that its leaders will have no choice but to re-assess their stance on Tibet."
There is no need for China to re-assess its stance on Tibet as it is part of China.
Similarly the US says there is no need for it to re-assess its stance on Hawaii which is claimed by some Hawaiian royalties, as Hawaii is the 50th State of the Union.
Notice the flag of Hawaii has a Union Jack patch on it. Does it mean the British have a claim on Hawaii too?
