Comments on "One step closer to moon" (China Daily, October 25)

Well done! I hope this inspires a new generation of children to seek careers in science and carry this country, and this needy planet into a brilliant future.

We, overseas Chinese, are very proud of Chang'e I having been successfully launched into orbit, and will soon reach the moon's orbit.

It once again proves that Chinese people are great.

I'm so happy to hear the news of Chang'e I blasting off to the moon successfully. The mood is similar to when we were awarded the 2008 Olympic Games. As a Chinese I'm very proud. I hope our country will become more prosperous.

The successful launching of Chang'e I is a big event for China and all Chinese people. My congratulations go to the Party and those space scientists dedicated to a noble cause. Meanwhile, I am keenly aware that this could not have been achieved without the reform and opening up policies of the Party. As a Chinese, I really feel proud and elated on such a special occasion. May our motherland continue to thrive and prosper.
