Good news
Comment on "New carrier rocket series to be built" (China Daily, October 31)
Great news for China and all developing countries which China can help to send their satellites and orbiters into outer space, because China's service will be of high quality, efficient, inexpensive, and without any political strings attached.

Comment on "Lack of US domestic saving cause of trade deficit" (China Daily, October 31)
How about this as a headline "Lack of Chinese domestic spending cause of trade deficit"?
The US spends too much of its saving, while China does not spend enough. They are two sides of the same coin.

Change mind
Comment on Liu Shinan's column "Jobs for college graduates" (China Daily, October 31)
I was recruited as a college graduate this year, and know of the difficult situation graduates face in gaining employment.
There are several reasons: college education does not contain social realities; graduates want a nice work environment with a relatively high salary; modern technology also tends to decrease job opportunities, and so on.
Changing your mind as you said is very important.

True reflection
Comment on "Why does the dollar keeps dropping?" (China Daily website, October 31)
Because demand for dollars is currently low. The US dollar has been the primary reserve currency for decades because the world lacked other large, strong capital markets to invest in.
The dollar is now dropping to a level more reflective of the US economy broadly.
The slide is a problem for some people and a boon for others, but it is a good thing overall. The dollar needs to slide so that monetary policy can be adequately adjusted to reflect the position of the dollar in a world where there is more than one large, stable capital market to invest in.
