Comment on "China urges US to stop arms sales to Taiwan" (China Daily website, November 14)

When the US leaders want to improve relationships with China, they will say they adhere to the One-China Policy constantly, and object to the independence of Taiwan.

However, when they see a big deal of money, the One-China policy goes out of the window.

It is caused by rapid economic development, including allowing local governments to make money by selling land and the shortage of food supply.

As for myself, how can I afford to repay my house loans?

Theme park

Comment on "Disneyland plan dusted off in Shanghai" (China Daily, November 14)

The Disney theme park in Hong Kong is attracting many Chinese from the mainland.

Shanghai, the economic center and the biggest city in China, should have a Disney theme park to meet the tremendous demand. Many companies and commercial malls located around the park will benefit from it.

However, it is crucial to avoid pollution and protect the environment.
