Make laws known

Comment on "China sees marked increase in domestic violence complaints" (China Daily website, November 25)

In my hometown, women and children are often the victims of domestic violence.

Traditionally, many women are not brave enough to report abuse. What we should do now is to publicize our laws and policies to the people, especially in the countryside.

Oil reserve centers

Comment on "China calls for stabilizing oil supplies" (China Daily website, November 25)

In my opinion China should strengthen its energy security by establishing oil reserve centers as many developed countries do.

When the price of oil hits a high, the centers should offer more supplies to meet market demand. It would not be wise to pass on costs, caused by high prices, to customers. That is unfair to the customers.

Space development

Comment on "China publishes first moon picture taken by Chang'e I" (China Daily website, November 26)

We are delighted to see the first moon picture taken by Chang'e I. China has achieved success. I almost cannot believe my eyes.

The moon picture is better than I expected. I am sure China will catch up with other countries in space technology.

Selfish mothers

Comment on "Modern women want babies without husbands" (China Daily, November 24)

I cannot understand their mindset. When the children are born, they have no fathers. When they grow, they have no love from fathers. They may face prejudice. Some modern women are selfish.

Use of cars

Comment on "China orders curbs on government departments' car use" (China Daily website, November 24)

This is a good decision. Some government staff think they have to drive expensive cars. In fact inexpensive cars consume less fuel and are just as efficient. It will save a lot of money.
