President Hu Jintao and the eight other members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee are among the list of 2,987 deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC), published on Friday.

At its last session on Thursday, the 10th NPC Standing Committee confirmed the qualifications of all the deputies to the 11th NPC, making way for the election of the new leadership.

The deputies were elected from 35 electoral units across China, including all the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, and the People's Liberation Army.
