Stone stuns with show of ignorance
On arriving in Shanghai from Sichuan, I saw a video in which the US actress Sharon Stone described the earthquake "interesting".
Astonished by her comment on the calamity, I want to ask Ms Stone: "Are you aware of Chinese people's sufferings in the disaster or are you born to be so cold-blooded?"
What is "karma"? Don't you think what you said desecrated the Chinese people killed in the earthquake? Please take back your "humanism" and be merciful. Your ignorant comment is really annoying.
You mentioned that you had learnt a lesson from the Sichuan earthquake, which cost more than 60,000 lives. So did I.
My lesson is that those people who don't respect lives are not qualified to discuss the value of life.

When Sharon Stone failed to reach a peak like the 1992 Hollywood blockbuster, Basic Instinct, the 50-year-old US actress tried to attract worldwide attention by describing the Sichuan earthquake as "karma" in Cannes.
It is really ridiculous of her to link human rights with natural disaster. Known for her IQ mark, the woman is likely to imagine the Chinese people's response to her not-so- smart comment.
However she doesn't care about the Chinese market. To cater for some Western people who don't know the truth about Tibet, Stone tried to win audience's hearts by showing sympathy for Tibetan separatists.
However, what she said not only insulted the Chinese people but also the whole humankind and reflected her coldness to other people's lives.

I am an American. Many Americans who love the Chinese people are deeply grieved over the suffering caused by the earthquake.
Many of us are donating funds to help out. At one concert in my hometown, $73,000 was raised in only one night.
We are all in the human family. In this difficult time, I send my best wishes to the people of China.
