South Koreans are cutting down on cosmetic surgery and vacations amid the economic slowdown, news reports and surveys showed Tuesday.

本周二，有最新报告和调查显示，经济萧条当前，韩国人正在削减他们在整容手术以及度假方面的开支。

"We saw a 30 percent drop in double eyelid operations and rhinoplasty from last year and more than a 40 percent decline in facial contouring surgery," a surgeon in southern Seoul said.

首尔南部的一位医师说：“双眼皮手术和鼻子整形术比去年减少了30%，而面部轮廓改形术则减少了40%多。”

上述报道中，cosmetic surgery指的是“整容（外科）手术”，也可译为face-lifting，这种手术应该是plastic surgery（整形手术）的一种；其中包括double eyelid operation（双眼皮手术），rhinoplasty（鼻子整形术），和facial contouring surgery（面部轮廓改形术）等具体项目。这里的“鼻子整形术”还有一个通俗的说法，叫做nose job，应该很好记吧。
