D13: Tirdapuri-->Purang (4000m above sea level)
Visit Tirdapuri
monastery and conclude the kora pilgrim circuit here. Then drive to Purang and
visit Khojarnath monastery on the way.
D14: Rest day in Purang
Rest and enjoy the beauty of Lake Manasorvar.
D15: Purang-->Paryang ( Distance: 350km)
Leave Purang and drive back to
Paryang.
Day16 Paryang-->Saga( Distance: 250km)
Drive back to Saga
Day17 Saga-->Nyalam (Distance: 232km)
Take the Lhasa- Katmandu Highway
and drive upwards to Lalung La (5124m above sea level). The drive offers
fantastic views of Mt. Everest. Then drive to the Tong La (5120m above sea
level). Arrive at Nyalam and stay overnight.
D18: Nyalam ¡úKatmandu (Distance: 218km)
Leave Tibet for
Katmandu.
Tips:
1) Tour members should pay
attention to the altitudes mentioned above and if you have any cardiovascular or
respiratory conditions, please consult a doctor before taking this tour.
2)
This overland trip takes a significant amount of time, and the ride is not
smooth. Bringing some motion sickness medication is a good idea.
3) Besides
the standard papers, this route also requires foreigners to carry special
permits, which can be obtained through registered local travel agencies.
