Three 'Olympic name cards' in my family

I don't know whether it is a coincidence or sheer luck. All of my family members - my son, my husband, and me - have forged an indissoluble bond with the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games ever since our country won the bid to host the Games in 2001.

The first lucky one is my son. As a graduate majoring in television playwright, he stepped out of the school gate of the Communication University of China in 2002. His first job was related to the Olympics. He joined a sports program specially dedicated to the Beijing Games and became its playwright director. Thus, he got my family's first "Olympic name card" .

Almost at the same time, my husband's company received a task of developing a new vehicle for the Olympic Games. Being a senior technician, he had the honor of being involved in the task. In this way, my small family owned the second "Olympic name card".

Watching my family members and other friends work busily for the Olympic Games everyday, I was bursting with eagerness. Can't I do something for the Games? Just then the opportunity came: to guarantee a safe power supply, Beijing Electric Power Company dispatched staffs to various Olympic venues. As leader of the Mentougou Electric Power Company, together with my colleagues, I took the responsibility of ensuring the power supply of the Beijing Shooting Range Hall during the Good Luck Beijng test events and this summer's Olympic rifle and pistol events. This was the third "Olympic name card" in my family.

My small family is now thoroughly involved in the Beijing Games. We have been devoting our minds and energy to the task, and are gaining unforgettable happiness and memories along the way.
