China names women soccer team for World Cup

China's Football Association formally submitted its final name list of its women's soccer team to FIFA, the International Federation of Football Association, on Monday afternoon.
Twenty-one player names are on the list, including 11 attacking players. Only one renowned player, the forward Ji Ting, has been left out of the line-up that played in a friendly match against Britain in Macao on Sunday.
The name list includes:
Goalkeeper: Zhan Yanru, Han Wenxia, Xu Meishuang
Defence: Liu Yali, Li Jie, Pu Wei, Zhou Gaoping, Weng Xinzhi, Wang Kun, Zhang Ying
Midfield: Xie Caixia, Bi Yan, Zhang Tong, Qu Feifei, Pan Lina, Song Xiaoli, Li Dongna
Forward: Ma Xiaoxu, Han Duan, Liu Sa, Zhang Ouying
These 21 players will have a five-day holiday before leaving for Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei Province, on September 1, to prepare for the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup 2007.
The Women's World Cup will be held in various cities throughout China from September 10 to 30.
