I greatly enjoyed reading the column last week "Forget Mickey, Monkey King is the way for Shanghai" by Liang Hongfu.

In fact, for the last six years, I have been working to develop an alternative to the Disney/Universal type of theme park that can fit contemporary Chinese audiences.

To do that, we need not only to create an original Chinese theme, but also a new business model that reflects the latest developments in media production and distribution.
