I read the news on the US congressional delegation's recent China tour. (China Daily, January 4, 2007)

Nations and peoples can understand each other better only through exchanges. The China visit paid by some Washington legislators obviously helps the United States to know China better. This, of course, can help the US administration to stipulate a more objective policy towards China. On the other hand, China could also take this opportunity to make clear its policy towards the United States. Undoubtedly, exchanges are conducive to mutual understanding, which is the basis for founding a normal and rational relationship.
