Comments on Li Xing's column "Have we learned nothing from SARS" (China Daily, January 11, 2007)

I don't think the classmate of your daughter is selfish. Actually the public lacks the sense that we should protect our own and others' health.

If you don't realize the danger of disease, how can you avoid disease and even protect others? Above all, governments should take responsibility.

I am afraid I have to disagree with Cherryshawn. Certainly the government must bear some of the responsibility for public health.

There must also be a sense of social responsibility among the general public.

The whole focus of the article is to ask us not to forget what SARS taught us. It seems people have very short memories indeed.
