I know this place has developed incredibly, and it shows, but it's still nowhere near a wholly developed country. People are living it up in Beijing and Shanghai and sending housing costs through the roof. Meanwhile the countryside is more of a ghetto than Detroit.

Is anyone going to narrow the gap? And can someone tell the trashy new-money people to be a little less arrogant?

China should stick with the harmonious concept as a basis of development to minimize the chance of a big fall. Another thing that China does not need is big swings in economic cycles.
