When I bring my camera with me, anywhere I go in Beijing, I'm sure it will be useful. There are still Chinglish signs to be photographed. But what is the use if citizens don't know where to report those mistakes?

A few years ago there was a public phone number. I myself reported several mistakes which have been corrected. There was also a column in the Beijing Youth Daily but it has disappeared.

I spent hours on the web searching for a Beijing government site that offers such a service. Nothing! Some sites such as www.bjenglish.com.cn have only their names in English. Others have a "Click for a try" (on the English button), but it stops there.

China Daily would be the ideal paper to have such a column. Readers could pass along their frustrations, and authorities could know where to concentrate their efforts.

The Olympic Games are coming. Do we want foreigners to eat "Fart- food" in "Beijing Country"? And buy a "time" in a "Specialist in repaired watch", or "cane" furniture? Do we want to see tourists take those kinds of photos as Beijing memories? Such a situation is a shame!
