Power forward Yakelyn Plutin Tizon hit a game-high 21 points, lifting Cuba to victory.

Center Chen Xiaoli led the Chinese players, scoring 15 points. Sui Feifei and Chen Nan added 14 and 12 respectively.

Former WNBA player Miao Lijie got only 4 points before being fouled out in the fourth quarter.

China led 53-48 after three quarters, but their low field shooting percentage in the fourth cost them dearly.
