Quake shakes central Turkey(Agencies)
Updated: 2007-12-20 20:01 ANKARA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 shook an area near the Turkish capital Ankara on Thursday, the country's earthquake observatory said, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. The Kandilli observatory said the quake occurred at 11:48 a.m. (0948 GMT) in the district of Bala in Ankara province and the provincial governor Kemal Onal told CNN Turk television no damage or casualties had been reported. |
